This page contains additonal information about:
"burial places on the farms in the town of Guilderland, N.Y.
and surrounding towns",
and its compiler William A. Brinkman

1. Between the Guilderland library and Altamont library (has copies of original notes from Brinkman), one can find the following:

  • "A Memorial - Places of burial and sketches of some Guilderland Soldiers of the War of the Revolution and records of farm burial places in the town of Guilderland, N.Y."; compiled by William A. Brinkman, historian; town of Guilderland; 1946. Obtained from Guilderland Library and in Altamont Library in 1999.

  • "A Memorial - Records of early burial places on the farms in the town of Guilderland, N.Y. and surrounding towns"; compiled by William A. Brinkman, historian; town of Guilderland, Altamont, N.Y.R.D. 1; 1940. Obtained from Guilderland Library in 1999.

  • "Record of some early settlers"; compiled by William A. Brinkman, historian; town of Guilderland; 1944. Found in Guilderland Library, April 2002

  • "Bible and Family Records", by William A. Brinkman, Historian, town of Guilderland, N.Y., 1943, copy of which was found at Altamont Library, June 2000. This includes a copy of both the final document and a copy of Brinkman's original notes used to make the document.

I also saw copies of this on microfilm from the Mormon FHC but it was not a good copy to print on the machine I had available.

    2. I did find one error that I know of - Berne: On the right side of the road from Thompson's Lake to Warner's Lake on the Aaron Warner farm. In 1874 there were sixty-five gravestones on this plot. There are now in 1939 nine white stones with inscriptions. The others have none.
Ruth, wife of Cyrel Eaton, died April 13, 1814 aged 16 years, 7 months and 24 days.
She was actually 46 years, 7 months and 24 days.
